Frequently asked questions
Why is my contribution only ₱200.00?
Pag-IBIG counts compensation only up to ₱10,000.00. At 2%, the most required from an employee is ₱200.00 a month, matched by the employer.
Can I contribute more?
Yes. You can raise your monthly savings above the minimum, and the extra also earns the yearly dividend. For a separate 5-year savings account with higher dividends, look at MP2.
Do my contributions earn anything?
Yes. Pag-IBIG declares dividends on Regular Savings every year, and you get the total back at maturity, retirement, or when you leave the Fund under its rules.
Do contributions affect my housing loan?
You need at least 24 months of contributions to apply for a Pag-IBIG housing loan, and your savings can count toward a lump-sum payment.
