How to use this calculator

How it’s computed
Liters needed = total distance ÷ km per liter.
Fuel cost = liters × price per liter. Total = fuel cost + tolls and other costs. Per passenger = total ÷ people sharing.
Example
Four friends drive 250 km each way in a car that does 12 km per liter, with fuel at ₱60.00 and ₱1,200.00 in tolls.
- Round trip: 500 km ÷ 12 = 41.67 liters.
- Fuel: ₱2,500.00. With tolls: ₱3,700.00.
- Each person pays ₱925.00.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find my car’s fuel efficiency?
Fill the tank, reset the trip meter, drive normally, then fill up again. Divide the kilometers driven by the liters you added. City driving in traffic usually gives fewer km per liter than highway driving.
How do I get the distance?
Use a maps app for the one-way driving distance and turn on round trip if you are coming back the same way.
Does the price change much?
Sample price only. Pump prices change weekly; use the price at your station. Diesel and gasoline are priced differently, so use the one your vehicle takes.
What should I include in other costs?
Expressway tolls, parking, ferry or RoRo fees for the vehicle, and anything else the group shares. Leave out food unless you are splitting it too.
