How to use this calculator
- Enter your salary, the days since your last payday, and unused leave that converts to cash.
- Add months worked this year and any 13th month already paid, then pick why you’re leaving.
How it’s computed
Daily rate = monthly salary × 12 ÷ paid days a year. Unpaid salary and leave = days × daily rate.
Prorated 13th month = monthly salary × months worked this year ÷ 12, minus what you already received.
Separation pay = monthly salary × 1 or 0.5 or 0.5 × years of service, and at least one month’s pay. A fraction of 6 months or more counts as a full year.
Example
Lea earns ₱25,000.00, worked 9 months this year, and has 3 years and 7 months of service.
- If she resigns: ₱5,747.13 salary + ₱18,750.00 13th month + ₱5,747.13 leave = ₱30,244.26.
- If her job is made redundant, 7 months rounds up to 4 years, adding ₱100,000.00 for ₱130,244.26 in total.

Frequently asked questions
When should I receive my final pay?
Within 30 days from the date of separation under DOLE Labor Advisory 06 s.2020, unless your company has a faster policy or a different agreement.
Do I get separation pay if I resign?
Not by law. Separation pay is required for authorized causes such as redundancy, retrenchment, closure not due to serious losses, or disease. Some companies or contracts give it anyway.
Are unused leaves converted to cash?
Unused Service Incentive Leave (5 days a year) must be converted to cash. Other vacation and sick leave are paid only if company policy or your contract says so.
Is final pay taxed?
Separation pay due to causes beyond your control is tax-exempt. The prorated 13th month is tax-free within the ₱90,000.00 ceiling for bonuses. Your last salary is taxed as usual and squared away in the final tax computation.
What can be deducted?
Outstanding company loans, cash advances, and the value of unreturned company property, if you agreed to it or the law allows it.
