How to use this calculator
- Enter your basic salary and allowances. Taxable allowances raise your withholding tax; de minimis ones don’t.
- Add loan payments and other deductions, then pick your pay schedule.
How it’s computed
Take-home pay = basic salary + all allowances − (SSS + PhilHealth + Pag-IBIG + withholding tax + other deductions).
Withholding tax is based on taxable income: basic salary plus taxable allowances, minus your three government contributions. Non-taxable allowances are added to your pay after tax. The yearly tax follows the TRAIN graduated rates, divided by 12 and then by your number of paydays.
Example
Jun earns ₱30,000.00 with a ₱2,000.00 rice allowance, paid twice a month.
- Contributions: ₱1,500.00 SSS + ₱750.00 PhilHealth + ₱200.00 Pag-IBIG = ₱2,450.00.
- Taxable income: ₱27,550.00; withholding tax ₱1,007.50 a month.
- Take-home: ₱28,542.50 a month, or ₱14,271.25 every kinsenas.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between taxable and non-taxable allowances?
Non-taxable allowances are de minimis benefits within BIR limits, such as rice subsidy, uniform and laundry allowance, or medical cash allowance. Most other allowances, like transportation or communication allowances paid as fixed cash, are taxable unless they are liquidated reimbursements. Your payslip or HR can tell you which is which.
Why is my first kinsenas smaller than my second?
Many employers deduct all government contributions from one cutoff, usually the second, or split them unevenly. This calculator divides the monthly total evenly between paydays, so your monthly take-home is the number to compare.
Are SSS and Pag-IBIG salary loans deducted here?
Add your monthly loan amortizations under "Other deductions". The same field works for HMO dependents, cooperative shares, and cash advances.
Do allowances increase my SSS, PhilHealth or Pag-IBIG?
This calculator bases contributions on basic salary, which is how most employers compute them. Some employers include regular allowances in the SSS computation; if so, your SSS share may be slightly higher.
