Frequently asked questions
Which schools use a 4.0 scale?
De La Salle University, Ateneo (which uses letter grades worth 4.0 down to 0) and several others. The math works on any scale, including 1.00 to 5.00, as long as every grade uses the same one.
What do I enter for previous GPA and units?
Your cumulative GPA and total units from earlier terms, as shown on your grade report or student portal. Leave both at 0 for your first term.
How are letter grades converted?
Use your school’s table. At Ateneo, for example, A is 4.0, B+ 3.5, B 3.0, C+ 2.5, C 2.0, D 1.0 and F 0.
Do failed subjects count?
Usually yes, at their failing grade, until you retake them. Check your handbook for how retakes replace or average the old grade.
